Currency strength is relative and depends on the measurement period. The table above shows year-to-date performance against the US dollar based on ECB daily rates. For longer-period rankings, use the CurrencyCore Rankings API.
How does CurrencyCore calculate rankings?
CurrencyCore computes strengthenedPct from the start and end rates over the chosen period. Positive = currency gained purchasing power vs USD. Negative = lost. All from ECB daily rates with carry-forward resolution.
Can I access rankings via API?
Yes. The /v1/history/analysis endpoint with mode=movers returns currencies ranked by performance. Available on Growth plan. See the Rankings API page for examples.
